Green roofs and walls are elements of green infrastructure in which native plant species resistant to unfavourable climatic conditions such as temperature changes or droughts can be used, enriching the local biodiversity. Additionally, getting the green infrastructure equipped with a network of sensors, an intelligent irrigation system and powering with photovoltaics allow to reduce the expenditures related to the operation of this infrastructure. Their use may, in a relatively short time, result in optimisation of costs, not only financial, but also material and environmental.
