Circular & Digital Construction Hubs in Central Europe
The Institute for Ecology of Industrial Areas (IETU) is a research and development unit under the Ministry of Climate and Environment. It addresses environmental issues in industrialized and urban areas, focusing on resource efficiency, the circular economy, and adaptation to climate change.
IETU develops solutions that combine environmental protection with economic growth, striving to improve social well-being through research and development in sustainable resource management and the implementation of innovative practices.
IETU participates in the Circular & Digital Construction Hubs initiative in Central Europe as part of the ReBuilt project (CE0100390), where it focuses on advising on demand-side activities (including green public procurement).
Activities:
- Demand-side activities for circular construction products and services.
- Disseminating knowledge about green public procurement strategies, value chains in circular business models, and the digitalization of construction in the Central European region.
