CICADA4CE Project Meeting in Ljubljana and Kranj

On 10–11 June 2026, another meeting of the CICADA4CE project partners took place, hosted by the Slovenian partners: UIRS and the City of Kranj.

The first day of the meeting was dedicated to reviewing the progress of pilot actions implemented by the partner cities. Participants presented the current status of investments and the implementation of solutions being tested within Urban Living Labs (ULLs). In parallel, a meeting of the CICADA Schools Network was held.

The agenda also included sessions on the launch of the project platform, the development of the Network of Cities, communication activities, and the exchange of experiences and knowledge generated by the partners within the work package dedicated to the transfer of solutions and good practices. An important part of the programme was the Project Steering Committee meeting, during which participants discussed, among other topics, the preliminary agenda of the project's final conference.

During the study visit in Ljubljana, participants had the opportunity to learn about both historical and contemporary examples of the city's adaptation measures addressing changing climate conditions.

The second day of the meeting, held at the Municipal Office of Kranj, focused on the preparation of the project handbook summarising the experiences and results achieved within CICADA4CE. Participants then visited local pilot actions implemented in Kranj and explored solutions developed in synergy with the URBIO BAUHAUS and BeReady projects. The visit provided an excellent opportunity for knowledge exchange and discussions on how proven solutions could be transferred to other cities across Central Europe.

The meeting in Slovenia marked an important milestone in the implementation of the CICADA4CE project, enabling partners to review progress, exchange experiences, and prepare for the final stage of project implementation.
