On February 21-22, 2024, IETU representatives participated in the next meeting of the #UPSURGE project consortium in Passau, Germany. During the two days, the UPSURGE project partners presented the results of the completed tasks. All work packages were thoroughly discussed, summarized with constructive discussions.
Among other things, the degree of advancement of the NBS interventions in the demo cities, the overall evaluation of NBS's, as well as the progress of sensors’ installation and related air quality measurements were presented. The degree of progress on ecosystem service modelling and mobile applications was shown, too. Much attention was paid to clarifying and concretizing the tools and services offered by the EU Regenerative Urban Lighthouse. There were also examples of activities launched by the Place Labs in Katowice, Budapest, Breda, Maribor and Belfast, as well as valuable exchanges of experience. Finally, the promotion and dissemination of the project's results was discussed, focusing on what can be done to get the best effects.
