CICADA4CE Project – Arbor Day
On the occasion of the National Tree Day (Arbor Day) celebrated in Poland on October 10, IETU, as a Leader of the project CICADA4CE, organized a commented walk in the Biodiversity Park at the Exotarium in Sosnowiec.
Wonderful female guides from the Exotarium walked with a group of senior citizens and IETU representatives among the most beautiful trees, talking about different types of habitats and the importance of trees in our lives, especially in relation to climate change. There were many interesting facts from the world of plants and animals, which additionally raised environmental awareness. The seniors' task was to photograph the most beautiful tree specimens for a photo contest. The event was a part of the activities of the Sosnowiec Urban Living Lab created within the CICADA4CE project.
