LIFEproETV – Roundtable at the TOGETAIR International Climate Summit – 22.04.2024

During the Roundtable, organized at the TOGETAIR International Climate Summit by the Institute for Environmental Protection - National Research Institute (IOS-PIB) and the Institute for Ecology of Industrial Areas (IETU) in connection with the implementation of LIFEproETV project, we discussed how the EU taxonomy affects business innovation and whether we have a chance to boom green innovation in Poland.

The TOGETAIR International Climate Summit is a place for meetings, discussions and a highly inspiring exchange of ideas. This time we had a unique contribution to it, as we invited entrepreneurs, institutions, technology developers and all those interested in green innovation to the Roundtable.

Izabela Ratman-Klosinska, LIFEproETV Promotion and implementation of ETV as an EU voluntary scheme for verifying performance of environmental technologies  Project Manager, talked about the most important challenges for building adequate green investment offerings. The most important of these are:

  • Defining the object of the bid.
  • Transparent and clear criteria that determine whether an innovation is green or not.
  • Demonstration of innovation.
  • Market maturity.
  • Technical feasibility.
  • Compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Scalability.
  • Credibility.
  • Costs vs. benefits.

Green innovation is a whole complex process, but undoubtedly the future of Polish entrepreneurship.
Thank you for an inspiring meeting!
