What’s Circathon?

It’s a full-day competition all about the circular economy, happening ONLINE on Friday, February 21, 2025. This event is part of the ReBuilt Project, and we’re on a mission to promote circular construction—using waste in smarter, greener ways! It’s all about cutting waste, increasing recycling, and creating eco-friendly solutions that not only protect our environment but also make the best use of our resources. Here’s where YOU come in!

We’re challenging YOU to develop a cutting-edge business model for a Circular Construction Centre in Maribor. Your task? Think BIG and design a model that makes the city more sustainable, promotes resource efficiency, reduces waste, and helps grow the local economy.

What You’ll Do?

• Create a sustainable business model that supports circular building practices.

• Dive into strategies for marketing, cost estimates, revenue streams, and community engagement.

• Show how your model can benefit the environment AND boost the local economy.

Who Can Enter?

• You can join individually or as a team of 3-5 students.

• The winning team? A BIG reward awaits!
