IETU will carry out analyses of morphological composition of municipal waste received and collected in the city of Gdańsk. The results of the performed studies and expert analyses will allow for quantitative identification of recyclable fractions and fractions for thermal treatment. IETU experts will also prepare 30-year forecasts concerning the amount and composition of dry and wet mixed waste, and selective waste. The developed forecasts will take into account changes in the population structure and in habits of waste-producing residents as well as foreseeable changes of law.
A 14 months’ agreement between IETU and the Municipality of Gdańsk was signed on 5 July 2017.
