Dr. Anna Starzewska-Sikorska at ISOCARP Congress

In the city of Bodo, Norway the 54th ISOCARP Congress (International Society of City and Regional Planners) took place, gathering around 500 participants from all over the world. The theme of the congress was urban planning in the context of climate change - Cool Planning: Climate Change and Our Urban Future.

The project "Implementation of integrated environmental management in functional urban areas" LUMAT was presented by Dr. Anna Starzewska-Sikorska in connection to strengthening the resilience of cities to the effects of climate change. The activities proposed in the project, especially those relating to the strengthening of green infrastructure or decoupling of surfaces in cities, contribute to increasing the urban resilience.

ISOCARP - International Society of City and Regional Planners was established in 1965. Its members are leading urbanists and planners coming from about 70 countries all over the world. @ błąd w wersji polskiej ISOCARP is an organisation recognised by the UN and the Council of Europe, having the status of a UNESCO consultant.
