IETU on The International Conference on Mercury as a Global Pollutant

The International Conference on Mercury as a Global Pollutant - 16-21 July 2017 - is shaping up to be a very large and diverse meeting  – it is encouraging that this year there were almost 1000 abstracts from people representing 57 countries. The main topic of the conference was Integrating Mercury Research and Policy in a Changing World.

Mercury is a global pollutant and its effective control in the environment will take scientific study, innovative management strategies, and the cooperation among all nations. The ICMGP conferences have been committed to better understanding and effectively managing mercury releases and emissions to decrease human and wildlife exposure.
