The V4RIT-SUARR - V4 Regions in Transition Supporting Ukraine Redevelopment and Reconstruction project has produced educational materials presenting good practices in climate change adaptation and brownfield redevelopment. The project is implemented by a consortium of partners from four countries: Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Ukraine: IETU (PL), IURS (CZ), SPECTRA (SK) and LEDA (UA), with funding from the International Visegrad Fund.
The V4RIT-SUARR project aims to transfer knowledge on different aspects of transformation, i.e. social, economic and environmental. It aims to help cities and regions in Ukraine to plan and implement regionally sustainable redevelopment and transformation. Three main events were organised and implemented as part of the project: a Intensive Study Visit for Ukrainian stakeholders to Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and two virtual schools (winter and autumn) for representatives of local administrations, NGOs, researchers, students and business, which aimed to transfer knowledge and experience of the V4 regions during the transition period and become important for the reconstruction of Ukraine. Educational materials were also produced as a final result of the project: a catalogue of materials presented during the organised events and 6 films - examples of new solutions to combat the climate change and revitalisation of degraded areas.
